Principle 1: Truth and Liberty __

Score the Opening Statement.

  1. __ Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness for all in our DOI are the bedrock of our USA, and everything in Life starts with Liberty. We must define Liberty for WTP to stand on it and define Life to maximize its value. Few people understand the ‘Happiness’ reference in our DOI.
  2. __ The point of ‘Happiness’ in our DOI is that the government can never provide Happiness for its citizens; it only happens when WTP are free to exercise our faith, philosophy, or any other idea that does not harm others. Without TRUTH as sacrosanct, none of the foundations of our USA matter.
  3. __ Our Founding Fathers made six huge mistakes in designing WTP’s DOI/COTUS that WTP must repair in 2026. WePEG1787 enumerates them in Principle 1.

P1 Set 1: Founding Father Failures __

  1. __ One: The Destruction of Truth. Our Founding Fathers never foresaw the end of Truth, the bedrock of WTP’s Liberty. We live in an era defined by scholars as ‘there is no such thing as ‘universal truth.’’ Progressivism is the fruit of the destruction of Truth.
  2. __ Reality: The problem is if the definition is true, it MUST be false because there is no truth. That is how convoluted our political factions have become.
  3. __ When the Industrial Revolution and psychology changed the world’s governing and birthed Communism, a controlling government, Truth was eviscerated. P1 Set 2: The Principle of TRUTH restores the Truth.
  4. __ Two: Assumption of Virtuous Leaders. Our Founding Fathers assumed constitutional checks and balances with virtuous leaders would prevent corruption and tyranny.
  5. __ Reality: Over time, politicians learned how to game the system: gerrymandering districts, passing complex laws few understand, using executive orders beyond original intentions, and building massive bureaucracies.
  6. __ They underestimated how much human ambition could manipulate even a carefully designed system.
  7. __ Three: Underestimating Party Factionalism. The large size of the republic would prevent dangerous factions from dominating. We also discuss this in P29 Set 5: Federalist 10: Political Factions.
  8. __ Reality: Political parties quickly took root (Federalists vs. Democratic-Republicans by the 1790s), and today, the partisan division is a dominant force nationally.
  9. __ Our Founding Fathers thought the system would dilute factions; instead, parties nationalized power and deepened divisions.
  10. __ Four: Elastic Interpretation of ‘Necessary and Proper.’ We also discuss this in P29 Set 12: Federalist 33: The Necessary and Proper Clause.
  11. __ Reality: Courts and Congress have used it to justify enormous federal expansion (e.g., agencies like the IRS, EPA, and Department of Education—none explicitly foreseen).
  12. __ The ‘necessary and proper’ idea stretched beyond original limits, leading to federal overreach.
  13. __ Five: The Rise of the Administrative State. Our Founding Fathers envisioned government branches checking each other openly and politically.
  14. __ Reality: Unelected bureaucracies (the ‘fourth branch’) now wield massive power over daily life, often without clear accountability.
  15. __ Our Founding Fathers’ system did not anticipate how a permanent civil service and regulatory bodies could dilute libertarian control.
  16. __ Six: Erosion of State Sovereignty. Our Founding Fathers promised that states would retain significant, meaningful powers (Federalist 45, 46).
  17. __ Reality: Especially after the Civil War and the New Deal, the federal government dominated areas once seen as purely state matters (education, health, welfare, marriage laws).
  18. __ States became more dependent on federal money and less independent politically.
  19. __ The Federalist Papers offered a brilliant, idealistic vision. But they underestimated human ambition, factional loyalty, and the appetite for centralization.
  20. __ They designed a government assuming citizens and leaders would guard their own freedoms; over time, apathy, partisanship, and government growth changed the balance.
  21. __ WePEG1787 Corrects the six oversights.

P1 Set 2: The Principle of TRUTH __

  1. __ TRUTH is the heart of Governing Principles and the Laws of Nature our Founding Fathers relied on, assuming our representatives were righteous and always would be in their faith-based ‘states.’ They were dead wrong.
  2. __ Our Founding Fathers did not invent the Laws of Nature, and WTP must have a better understanding.
  3. __ The Laws of Nature are the forces that hold the universe together and determine all outcomes. Gravity, physics, chemistry, thermodynamics, electricity, etc., are well understood as inviolate; no one questions them.
  4. __ There are also Economic and Social laws that are more complicated because they involve personal decisions, but they are still there for discovery.
  5. __ Liberty is a Law of Nature. Ancient Greek philosophers like Aristotle believed everything has a purpose, and justice acts under that purpose. Cicero declared true law is the ‘right reason in agreement with nature.’
  6. __ Saint Thomas Aquinas (1250 A.D.) argued that natural law is part of God’s eternal law, written into man’s heart. While all grand theories, the kingship governments in the world never allowed their testing.
  7. __ Our Founding Fathers liberated themselves to articulate that Liberty is the sovereign state of humans in the Laws of Nature. They then articulated Liberty and its government in our DOI and COTUS.
  8. __ Two hundred fifty years later, experience has proven what is correct and what isn’t. Liberty is no longer a debate; it produced the greatest nation on earth, except for political factions seeking power with a false flag of Progressivism.
  9. __ WePEG1787 simply asks that our Progressive representatives enumerate their foundation in the same detail and demonstrate where it has worked.
  10. There are more unalienable rights in the Laws of Nature.
  11. __ Universal Morality: Objective moral truths apply to all humans, regardless of culture or time. God is not required to know morality is a Law of Nature. It is proven experience.
  12. __ Reason Discovers Law: Humans can discover natural laws through reason and reflection on human nature and purpose, i.e., experience.
  13. __ Law Above Governments: Human (civil) laws must align with natural law to be just. If a human law contradicts Natural Law, it is unjust and may be resisted.
  14. __ Rooted in Human Nature: Natural Law is based on what fulfills human nature—Life, procreation, truth, community, and rational conduct.
  15. __ God or Nature as Source: Many traditions, including Christian thinkers, see Natural Law as ordained by God and revealed through creation, i.e., WTP can see it. That is what matters.
  16. __ The religion of our Founding Fathers does not matter; it was the Christian faith of the majority of citizens of the thirteen states that ratified our DOI/COTUS. The states had different religious denominations, but all had the Ten Commandments, the invention of law, and Liberty in WTP’s societies, with six aimed at society.
  17. __ The Principle of TRUTH is that our entire system of government, elections, hiring, confirmation, and serving WTP MUST make TRUTH sacrosanct, i.e., so true as to be immune from criticism or violation.
  18. __ Our Founders created our USA and died for the Principle of ‘we hold these truths to be self-evident,’ declared in our DOI. WTP must couple our DOI to our DOI/COTUS and add WePEG1787 for modern times. Our DOI holds WTP’s Liberty, not our COTUS.
  19. __ The failure to protect TRUTH is a massive oversight by our Founding Fathers. Without the TRUTH in government and debate, WTP have nothing.
  20. __ Our Founding Fathers assumed TRUTH was an integral part of the fabric of our society, and WTP would demand it in our representatives. Today, a faction has eviscerated the TRUTH in their GL PSYOPS designed to destroy WTP’s Liberty.
  21. __ Had our Founding Fathers known political factions could silence the TRUTH, they would have built-in protections in our government and civics.
  22. __ The 1A exists to protect political speech. But it was meant for dissent and alternate viewpoints, not malfeasance, libel, and slander.
  23. __ Lying for political gain must have a prohibitive cost because great loss results monetarily and civically.
  24. __ No one should be allowed to intentionally lie or ‘manage the truth loosely’ in our government, seeking office, or in our free press. The stakes are too high; there must be consequences.
  25. __ Political faction power is the main reason for lying to WTP. Add WePEG1787 and remove the protections, goals, and financing of lying, and there isn’t much left to make pervasive lying to WTP worth it or electable.
  26. __ Fraud, slander, and libel are illegal except in our civics, thanks to our SCOTUS giving away WTP’s foundation of TRUTH, and it must be restored with WePEG1787.
  27. __ The lack of TRUTH-based Governing Principles allows our SCOTUS to make bad decisions. WTP must amend Governing Principles like TRUTH and LiFE in our DOI/COTUS. Until then, WePEG1787 is the only solution. GROUP 3: GOVERNMENT expands on this subject.
  28. __ Candidates must agree to score WePEG1787 to get our vote. WTP do not need a DOI/COTUS amendment; WTP own our USA. If WTP ignore political factions and elect candidates loyal to their districts, it will neuter political factions. All it takes is WTP to shun political factions. They add nothing to Liberty.
  29. __ WePEG1787 ends our candidates’ need for money, the only reason to run as a partisan.
  30. __ Honest debate makes each candidate’s case, not telling lies and demonizing WTP.
  31. __ Transparency and Principles are our government’s only sure and practical strategy to enforce TRUTH. P9 set 4: Government Transparency, further explains the Principles of Transparency.

P1 Set 3: The Free Press __

  1. __ Another huge mistake of our Founding Fathers was the failure to anticipate a monopoly press biased against WTP’s Liberty and abandoning the TRUTH.
  2. __ The free press was integral to WTP’s victory over the British. What WTP missed after the war was that they did it for their own power, not WTP’s Liberty, which we see today.
  3. __ Had our Founding Fathers known, they would have built-in protections for the TRUTH, starting with the credible verification of stories printed. That used to be the norm in the free press. Today, unsubstantiated false leaks and false rumors are the mainstream press norm.
  4. __ Since today’s mainstream press are propaganda machines of the Progressives, WTP must do our own verification of stories and start rejecting outright all forms of corrupt legacy media.
  5. __ If the press does not validate a story, WTP must ignore it, like ‘hearsay’ in court.
  6. __ The greatest media GL PSYOP is the emotional claims that lovers of Liberty are evil. In the Progressive GL PSYOP, fighting evil has no limits on what it can ‘morally’ do.
  7. __ So WTP, are we evil? If not, vote the Progressives out of office.

P1 Set 4: Free Speech __

  1. __ Speech includes verbal and written expression and is integral to governing and electing representatives.
  2. __ Liberty is not possible without untethered speech in society.
  3. __ The 1A states, ‘Congress shall make no law . . . abridging the freedom of speech . . .’ No government can abridge freedom of speech and still have Liberty.
  4. __ That said, Liberty requires most people to be respectful of each other. Parents and Family are the first teachers and responders for respect of others.
  5. __ Here is what is missing today: the right to speak does not include any right to be heard. That is where everyone goes wrong. A ‘trial with a jury of our peers’ and ‘petitioning government for our grievances’ are the only enumerated Rights to be heard.
  6. __ The problem with most political factions’ attempts to re-make society for their own benefit is that they have no right to be heard. If a man wants to live as a woman, that is a choice of free will. But there is no right to control anyone else’s thoughts in the activity. WTP have zero obligation to accommodate another person’s whims in the public square.
  7. __ So why would a representative take up the call to pass a law to force WTP to change our Lives for a man who wants to live as a woman when 80%+ of his voters say no? Political faction power is the only answer because they must dismantle our Liberty society.
  8. __ WTP’s answer is to permanently remove the political factions and solve thousands of problems simultaneously.
  9. __ WTP are responsible for the fabric of our society, not our government. Limiting speech must be centered on actual damage to another, not the whims of another.
  10. __ Contrary to what is often said, the classic ‘yelling fire in a crowded theatre’ is protected speech. It is the damage that results, if any, that is actionable.
  11. __ Threats are not damage; they can be warnings WTP should protect. But repetition causing fear becomes civil damage as harassment and should be subject to civil damages and restraint by WTP if in the public square.
  12. __ Offensive speech is part of society and too personal to manage with the law. However, repetition after notice can be harassment, subject to civil damage and restraint.
  13. __ Vulgarity must be protected, but causing a disturbance with vulgarity is civil damage and restraint. For example, driving patrons out of a store with vulgarity is civil damage.
  14. __ When WTP restrain damaging speech, restraint violations are eligible for being taken into custody or fined.
  15. __ WTP’s government can never allow censorship or forbid speech of any kind.
  16. __ The arts and media self-censor and give warnings because of WTP’s market pressures.
  17. __ Protesting is a 1A Right, ‘the right of the people peaceably to assemble . . .’ If permits are required for all group activities in a city or county, permit requirements are also applied to assemblies for protest.

P1 Set 5: Swearing an Oath __

  1. __ ALL civics speech must include upfront an oath when filing for election, swearing the same as in legal testimony, ‘I promise to tell the TRUTH, the whole TRUTH and nothing but the TRUTH, subject to the punishment of fraud, slander, and libel laws.’ That is the point of WePEG1787: if candidates want our vote, they must pledge to tell the TRUTH.
  2. __ Every elected office includes an oath of office that typically references upholding our COTUS. But none of the oaths include telling the TRUTH. Interestingly, Congress can lie to WTP, but WTP cannot lie to them.
  3. __ Since Progressivism is an alternate form of government with zero enumerated Governing Principles, i.e., Communism with lipstick, by definition, it is unconstitutional, and WTP must put it on the scrap heap of history at the ballot box.
  4. __ The principles of the TRUTH must be scored a 10 by our representatives and candidates, and if not upheld in their service, they must, at a minimum, not be re-elected.
  5. __ Political speech has no more right to be heard than any other speech, and all damage caused by political speech must be subject to civil damages and restraint.
  6. __ If WTP are damaged by representative malfeasance and lies, it must be actionable by removal from office and monetary penalties plus damage suits by the individuals affected.
  7. __ All candidates, representatives, and department heads must swear an oath of TRUTH to WTP and each other with punishment as a consequence.
  8. __ The oath would specifically apply to the politics of personal destruction. Malicious lies against an opposing candidate must not be tolerated. Elections should be decided on Principles first, then experience, and then character. Principled and experienced people usually have good character and will step up in a principled election process.
  9. __ No NGO should be allowed to modify, edit, or restrict political speech and maintain any 1A Right as a press or news organization, full stop.
  10. __ Disparaging private citizen civics groups with lies must be a class action lawsuit. Dissension must be expressed in the context of Principles and evidence, full stop.
  11. __ The rhetoric of political debate has been allowed to falsely demonize WTP who love Liberty as evil.
  12. __ WTP must stand up, and end government lies with action, Principles, and votes as our duty enumerated in our DOI. WTP took action in 1776, and it is time to use ballot action today for the same reasons.
  13. __ Defending Liberty and traditions that have served WTP well are to be applauded, and WTP must stand up and act, not just ‘be heard.’
  14. __ WTP are all there is to restore Liberty when our representatives are loyal to political factions and do not care. WTP must reject the labels of racist, bigot, intolerant, etc., as weapons of political debate. That is a GL PSYOP weapon of the Progressives discussed in their own principles section. It never results in a more functional society, just more division, which is their goal.
  15. __ The politics of personal destruction must be punished severely.
  16. __ It should be easy to see that a WePEG1787 government and society eliminates almost all the nonsense political factions bring into our Social Society and elections.
